Internships at Jennifer Lyons Literary Agency

We are seeking a diverse group of interns from all over the country for the spring and summer seasons.

Interns are responsible for reading manuscripts and proposals, writing reader’s reports, reading unsolicited manuscripts, and upon request providing editorial feedback on client proposals. 

We encourage readers to occasionally join agent meetings to remotely learn about the business.

The internship is a roughly three-month commitment and includes a monthly stipend. This position has the option to be remote. Please note that for the time being our agency is currently working remotely.

In addition, we also offer an entrepreneurial program where interns will have the chance to scout out potential clients for the agency.

There are four senior agents who make up The Jennifer Lyons Literary Agency. Interns will have a chance to interact with all agents.

The Jennifer Lyons Literary Agency is home to authors who are international-award winners and have been recipients of The Cullman Center Fellowship, The National Book Award, The PEN/New England and the PEN/West, The National Jewish Book Award, The Pulitzer Prize, the Coretta Scott King Book Award, and the Morton Dauwen Zabel award.

The Jennifer Lyons Literary Agency, LLC is managed and owned by Jennifer Lyons, who has more than twenty years of domestic and international experience as a literary agent. The Agency provides personalized attention to each of its clients, from conception to publication and beyond. We seek to not only maximize the potential of every project we represent but also help to manage the long-term writing career of each client.
