The Jennifer Lyons Literary Agency, LLC is managed by Jennifer Lyons who has nearly twenty years of domestic and international experience as a literary agent. The focus of the agency is on providing personalized attention to each of our clients from conception, to publication and beyond, in order to maximize the potential of every project we represent. Jennifer Lyons was a senior agent for seventeen years before she decided to open up her own literary agency. She represents numerous award-winning authors and premier European publishers. The many awards her clients have received include the Nobel Prize, The Pulitzer PEN awards, the National Jewish Book Award, The Koret Award, The Lambda, and many others. Jennifer is a contributing editor to Fiction. She has attended the Frankfurt Book Fair fifteen times and is the daughter of Nick Lyons, the founder of the Lyons Press and long-time Crown editor and also the sister of Tony Lyons who is the publisher of Skyhorse Publishing. She regularly teaches the business of writing at Sarah Lawrence College. Her long-standing film partner in Hollywood is The Lynn Pleshette Agency and she works with fifteen partners around the world, including The Paul Marsh Agency in the UK. Jeff Ourvan, an attorney, published author and former editor, is a literary agent with the Jennifer Lyons Literary Agency. His interests are varied: he represents non-fiction works, especially memoirs, histories, biographies, international current events and sports. He also represents fiction works, particularly in the young adult, thriller and international fiction categories. Prior to his career as a literary agent, Jeff was a litigator for many years at two large New York-based corporate law firms; a communications consultant working in New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo; and an editor of Living Buddhism magazine. One of Jeff’s upcoming works, How To Coach Youth Baseball So Every Kid Wins, will be distributed by Norton in Spring 2012. Jeff is married to the novelist Jessica Jiji. |
